A positive pregnancy test result can be scary, but before you panic, it’s important to get an ultrasound to confirm that you have a viable pregnancy.

Limited Obstetrical Ultrasounds performed by trained medical personnel (RN’s or Sonographers), under the supervision of our licensed Medical Director, can provide a glimpse into your pregnancy. While Moore Options does not provide these services right now, we will be offering it by the end of this year. Until then, it is important to have an ultrasound and we can help you get a referral. 

Why Do I Need an Ultrasound?

  • An ultrasound is a vital step for confirming a pregnancy. While a pregnancy test is a good indicator of a pregnancy, an ultrasound can show you if there is a developing pregnancy in your uterus.  Pregnancies that develop outside of the uterus can be dangerous and are called ectopic pregnancies.  An ultrasound will confirm the location of the pregnancy in your body.
  • confirm just how far along you are (gestational age).
  • Measure fetal heartbeat.
  • Ultrasounds are completely safe and are performed by our trained staff. The results of your ultrasound are kept private, and we will discuss our findings with you immediately.
